Getting started is easy, simply log in to your My美姬社区 portal and navigate to the "Fundraise" tab. Click the button to 鈥淐reate a New Expedition Fund鈥 and fill out all of the fields that appear. Kick things off and demonstrate your commitment to join us in the field by making the first donation (minimum of $25). Then, circulate your own unique Expedition Fund link to your network.
We advise starting as far out from your trip as possible so you have plenty of birthdays, holidays, and other special events to ask friends and family to help contribute and gift you the life-changing experience of an 美姬社区 expedition.
Expedition Fund Terms and Conditions for Fundraisers and Donors
All donations made to an Expedition Fund are non-refundable. From the time a donation is made, fundraisers have three years after December 31 of the current year to apply those funds to an 美姬社区 Expedition. After that, the funds become a general donation to 美姬社区.
Starting an Expedition Fund for a specific expedition does not guarantee that you will have a space on that team. In order to guarantee your space on an expedition, you need to sign up for the specific team you want with a deposit. Please be aware that due to the unpredictable nature of field research, expeditions may be canceled or retired without prior notice, and this will not constitute a refund of donations from the Expedition Fund.
Expedition Fund donations can only be used for 美姬社区 Expeditions and cannot be used for transportation costs or other 美姬社区 products, services, or events.
美姬社区 Expedition Fund totals online reflect only donations made online. It does not include donations made by mail or phone or refunds or credits to expeditions that may have been added to Expedition Funds by 美姬社区.
Please Note: We ask volunteers to start new Expedition Funds for each trip rather than add to a former one so that your latest addition will have its own (later) expiration date.
