Oregon Community Foundation
Since 2018, the Oregon Community Foundation has sponsored one student per year from the Rex Putnam High School in Oregon to experience field research first hand by joining one of ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø’s teen expeditions. Through this experience, the student gains practical insights into the scientific process, preparing them to engage more deeply with their science curriculum back in the classroom.
I really value the opportunity to participate in real scientific research compared to the little experiments we do in science classes at school. This project has motivated me to become more environmentally conscious and gave me the opportunity to speak with the team of scientists, which gave me a good understanding of what life is like working in marine biology.

YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø depends on donations—above and beyond what we raise from volunteers who participate in our expeditions—to deliver our global conservation mission. In fact, volunteer contributions provide only half of the total resources ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø needs to sustain over 20 global field research expeditions, a wide variety of educational programs, corporate sustainability trainings, and more each year.
