Restoring Coral Reefs in Bali
.
Can artificial reefs effectively mimic the ecological functions of natural reefs? That's what researchers hope to learn! In collaboration with North Bali Reef Conservation, ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø scientists and volunteers are conducting research in Tianyar, a fishing village in North Bali, home to one of Indonesia's largest artificial reef networks.
Volunteers on this expedition help scientists monitor coral health, survey fish populations, and explore how well artificial structures can mimic natural reefs. Take a peek at what it's like to join this expedition.
